I love this time of year. Truth be told, you will hear me say that about every time of year. I love seasons, seasonal traditions...fun crafts, family outings, and the excitement the kids exude with upcoming holidays approaching.
One of my favorite family outings growing up was all of us piling into some white boxy old volvo and going to cut down a tree. I remember bickering over which tree would be the best for our living room. I remember Kate and I always vouching for some ugly Charlie Brown tree because we felt sad that no one would want it. I remember my dad being a slight bit cranky as more and more time passed and we couldn't all agree on the perfect tree, and I remember how hard it was to cut it down. I first year Adam and I went to cut a tree down I remember being amazed at how fast and easy it was for Adam.....they don't make trees like they used to....that...or...things are just harder for Berkowitzes.
